Our Story
INOFEA – Empowering Enzymes
INOFEA AG is a Swiss biotech company founded in 2014 in Basel by a group of entrepreneurs and scientists as a spin-off from the School of Life Sciences, University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and led by Dr. Anne Timm (CEO).
At INOFEA, we empower enzymes. Together with our team of scientists led by Dr. Rita Correro, supported by Dr. Patrick Shahgaldian (Professor at FHNW and CSO of INOFEA) and with the help of our investors, we have developed
is our patented platform technology capable to fit enzymes to various conditions
“We’ve created INOFEA from the desire to meet a critical need related to the lack of stability and robustness of enzymes: the possibility to make enzymes stable for biocatalysis, bioconjugation, bioanalysis and for the use as active ingredient.”
Unlike other existing technologies, our innovation is to shield sensitive enzymes, which positively demonstrated substantial benefits to customers in numerous applications.
We are constantly investing in R&D for our proprietary technology, as well as for value-added products and services.
